Morning Prayer G D In the morning I lift up my prayer to You, Lord Bm D For the strength that I need this day G D I am weak, I am poor, and I know on my own Bm D I'll do nothing but fall away G D But I come to you not through what I've achieved Bm D But because I have so great a need C D C D G So be my daily bread. Be all that I need today. G D When I trusted in my own strength, Lord, Bm D I was scared to call on You G D Afraid that if I acknowledged my failings Bm D I'd prove the Accuser true G D But now I know I'm never holier than Bm D When I come as a sinner repenting C D C D G So I fall at Your throne. Receive me as Your own once again. G D And all of yesterday's sin cannot keep me Bm D From being made holy today G D And all of the ways that I've pushed You aside Bm D Cannot keep Your grace away G D And all of the thoughts that came running and racing Bm D Through my restless mind last night C D C D tree G Are no reason to think that You do not love me this morning.
